I had the opportunity to receive a VoxBox from Influenster this month. A VoxBox is basically a box with a few different products in it that I was able to test out. This box had a few awesome things in it, one of which was a pack of five Ouchless Ribbon Elastics from Goody. I’m sure you’ve seen these elastics before.
I pretty much always have one on my wrist. I like that they are a little more “stylish” than normal hair ties.
I read a lot of reviews that said these aren’t good for thick hair. That is totally not true for me. I have thick hair. THICK hair. Like every time I go get it cut, the hair stylist is always like “holy crap. You have thick hair.” That’s how thick it is. And they work great for me. They only wrap around twice, but it’s tight on my hair. I guess you have to have the right thickness, right?

Yes, I have red hair. Actually, it’s an extension. I did a review on those earlier. I love them.
I love that these ribbons don’t leave a crease in my hair. I also like that they don’t really tangle. I haven’t had to worry about pulling hair out when I pull out the elastics. They are soft and stretchy. I also really like that they don’t pull my hair as much as normal elastics. I often have a headache after having a normal elastic hold a pony tail all day. Not so with these.
I was kind of surprised at how well they hold my hair up. I went running with one for five miles in the pouring rain and this is what it looked like when I was done:

They work great for my daughters thin hair, but I have thick hair and couldn't double it up around my hair. Of course, that could be due me having thick fingers too. I haven't had the chance to do my post yet. I love the nail polish though!! Did you get the reddish pink color too? I can't think of the NAND of the color I got and I'm not at home to look.
I have pretty thick hair too, but I can JUST barely get them to go around twice, so the they are tight enough on my hair. Not as tight as a normal elastic, but I think that is why they don't give me a headache like normal ones do. .I actually got a yellow color. I love it. It's so.. summery!
I have thin hair and always am frustrated with elastics…I wonder if they'd work for me?
And they're super cute too!! I'm going to have to give these a try.
